When have you ever gotten better in an area of life without challenge? Challenge is adversity, otherwise it would not be a challenge at all.
Often, we avoid adversity at all cost, especially if you are not a fan of confrontation. Even when the confrontation is with ourselves. How does one be in opposition with oneself? At the first point of our creation God wanted us to know emphatically we are created in His image and likeness – Genesis 1: 26. Shorty thereafter the enemy provided deceptive information. That was not the problem. The problem arose when mankind elected to oppose himself. Please note this is not a matter of gender, it is a matter of oneself. If we are created in God’s image and likeness, why was it difficult to fathom we already knew all of the information we needed to know. We opposed our own creation. The adversary brought a matter to the table. We had a choice that day, and we chose to eat from the table. – Genesis 3
We must have the courage to confront ourselves no matter how uncomfortable we may become. Our goal in life should be to become, scratch that, BE the best person we can possibly be. It would be a different story if we were not created to be the best, but we absolutely are!
